Mr. Albert Wayne "Popie" Durham, 87, husband of Fern Casey Durham, of 612 Wren School Road, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 24, 2011 at his home.
Born April 29, 1923 in Greenville County, he was a son of the late George and Lois Ellison Durham. Mr. Durham was an US Air Force veteran serving in WWII and he was retired from Duke Power in 1984. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, and was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are his daughter Karen Garrett (Dicky); son, Randy Durham (Cathy) all of Piedmont; grandchildren, Ryan Godsey (Andrea) of Piedmont, PFC Corey Godsey (Nicole) serving in the US Army in Eschenbach, Germany, Jana Garrett of Piedmont, Travis Durham of Williamston; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 101 Mt. Pisgah Rd., Easley, SC 29642.
