Addie Lucy Roper Wymbs, 97, wife of the late Frank Wymbs, went to be with her wonderful Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at National Health Care of Anderson.
Addie lived 65 years of her life on the farm on Hwy 81 in Piedmont. She was a member of Mt. Airy Church.
Addie was the last living member of her immediate family, being predeceased by her mother, Lizzie Massingill Roper; father, James B. Roper; brothers, Millard Roper (Vera Berry), Carl Roper (Mary Lee Capps), Harvest Roper; and sisters, Azzalee (Roy) Seaborn and Dorothy (Wesley) Cater. Addie also proudly asknowledged her grandfather, Tyrie Roper, who was the longest serving pastor at Oolenoy Baptist Church.
Nephew Larry Roper and his wife Gloria, gladly served as Addie's caregiver for the past 8 years. Special recognition goes to Sandy Nihart for her assistance, love, and dedication to Addie's well-being, as well as the staff of National Health Care.
Graveside services will be 2 PM Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Oolenoy Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown where friends may pay their respect, Wednesday evening until 7:30 PM and Thursday morning until noon.
