Agnes Powell Henderson, 85, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at her home. Formerly of Clemson, she was the widow of William Clyde Henderson.
Born in Cateechee, SC, she was a daughter of the late Lemuel F. and Annie Wilson Powell. She was a retired insurance agent and a charter member of East Clemson Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Deborah H. King (Wilton) of Seneca; sisters, Margaret Nix of Liberty and Marie Patterson of Arcadia, FL; son-in-law, Ken Williams of Walhalla, SC; grandchildren, Shannon Williams and Sabrina Ray (Jason); great-grandchildren, Faith, Olivia, Claire Joy and Sawyer Ray.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Janice Williams; and brothers, Frank Powell, Ken "Bud" Powell, Herbert Powell and Carroll Powell.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Friday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM, Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Clemson Baptist Church,230 Frontage Road, Clemson,SC 29631: Hospice of the Foothills, OMH Foundation, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672 or to the charity of one's choice.
