Aileen Frances Snow Brooks died suddenly Friday, May 4, 2007 at her home in Pendleton, SC. She was born in Winchester, MA on May 8, 1918, daughter of the late Abbie and Frederick O. Snow Jr. and was a resident of Pendleton, for over three years. A graduate of Meredith College, Mrs. Brooks worked in Newark, NJ for Hane & Co. department store before marrying Edward Brooks in 1948. They were married for 49 years until his death in 1997. She was an elder in the Presbyterian Church and recent member of Pendleton Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Brooks gave her time to many causes including volunteering as a Girl Scout leader and 15 year volunteer coordinator/manager for the gift shop at Ingleside Retirement Apartments in Wilmington, DE where she lived for 49 years prior to moving to SC.

She will be greatly missed by her son, Jeffrey E. Brooks and his wife Elizabeth of Pendleton SC, daughter, Linda F. Crossan and her husband Jeff of Franklin, TN, and daughter, Karen B. King and her husband Ron of Gainesville, VA; brother, Fredrick O. Snow III and his wife Rita of Boca Raton, FL, brother-in-law, William H. Brooks and wife Gloria of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Robert Brooks and his wife Jenny, Matthew Brooks and his wife Stephanie, Sara Crossan and Jon Crossan; nieces and nephews, Arthur Snow and his wife Marianne of Boca Raton, FL, Wayne Thornton and his wife Matsi of Woburn, MA, Dale Thornton of Mission Viejo, CA, Brenda Tooker and her husband David of Orlando, FL, Allen Ryan Brooks and his wife, Dalinda of Land O' Lakes, FL; and great grandson, Benjamin Edward Brooks.

Celebration of life services will be held Saturday, June 2 at 2:00pm at Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, Wilmington, DE. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pendleton Presbyterian Church, 603 South Mechanic Street, P.O. Box 573, Pendleton SC 29670.
