Aileen "Teater" Raines James, 92, of Nalley Street, wife of the late William "Dub" Thomas James passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at her home.
Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Zion Hillard Raines and Leatha McJunkin Raines.
Mrs. James was retired from the textile industry having worked for Alice and Glenwood Plants. She attended Dacusville High School and was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church. She loved gardening, raking leaves, and cooking for her family.
Surviving are her children, Shirley Gilbert (Ernest) and Jerry James (Sophie) all of Easley; grandchildren, Lee James (Amber), Leanne James, Leshay Campbell (Don), Luke James (Jessi), Destinee Gilbert and Dana Gilbert; great grandchildren, Abbey James, Jude James, Nicole James and Kaeden Mann.
Mrs. James was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Raines and four sisters, Frances Crowe, Lou Ellen Gilstrap, Annie Whitman and Kathleen Raines.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:15 PM until 2:45 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted.
