Mr. Alan Edward Motz, 79, husband of the late Nancy Hubbard Motz, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at McCall Hospice House, Simpsonville.
Born in Rochester, NY, a son of the late Edward and Margaret Redmond Motz, Mr. Motz was a retired truck driver, a US Army Veteran having served in the Korean War and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a daughter, Christy Motz of Easley; a grandson, Matthew Alan Motz; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lee and Herbert Lafler; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Motz was predeceased by a son, Frederick Alan Motz.
Memorial services will be 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Georges Creek Baptist Church.
Family members are at their respective homes.
