Born in Dothan, Al, a son of Mary Abigail Thompson Gibson and the late Alfred Burl Gibson, he was a contract employee with Duke Energy.
Surviving is a daughter, Jessice Lane Dvergsten of Six Mile.
Funeral services will be held at Ward Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home in Dothan Alabama with burial to follow in the Ward Wilson Memory Hill Cemetery.
A local memorial service will be held in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 30 at 4pm.
