Easley
Albert Gill Sr., 87, of Easley, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at his home.
Born in West Virginia, Mr. Gill was a son of the late Andrew and Minnie Wykle Gill. He was a veteran of the United States Army. After his time in the service, Mr. Gill went to work in textile industry at the Foster Plant of Alice Manufacturing Company. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry Gill, and Albert Gill, Jr.; two daughters, Rose Gill, and Linda Lloyd; a sister, Wanda Mae Ryder; twelve grandchildren; and thirty great-granchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Roy Gill; two brothers, Wallace Gill, and Carl Gill; and three sisters, Pauline S. Gill Kirby, Marie Gill Ramsey, and Loreana Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, April 1, 2012 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The family is at the residence.
