Alfred Loy, a remarkable man who touched the lives of many, passed away on November 23, 2023. Born on February 24, 1937, in Yugoslavia, Alfred led a life filled with adventure, love, and dedication.

Alfred's career as a machinist took him to far-flung corners of the world, allowing him to explore countries that most people can only dream of visiting. He was a master at creating and fixing machines, using his exceptional skills to contribute to industries across the globe. Throughout his travels, Alfred's beloved wife Anni had the privilege of accompanying him on numerous trips. Together, they crafted countless memories and cherished moments.

In addition to his accomplishments as a machinist, Alfred's selflessness and commitment led him into the fold of the United States Army. Alfred's military service showcased his bravery and dedication to protecting his country. He spent four years in the Army and six years in the reserves.

Alfred's warm presence and kind heart left an indelible mark not only on those who had the pleasure of knowing him but also on his family and friends. Among his surviving relatives are his loving wife Anni Loy, whose unwavering love and support were instrumental in Alfred's life journey. As well as his brother-in-law, Hubert Loy (Anna), and nieces and nephews: Ferdinand Loy, Dante Loy (Caroline), and Joanne Joy (Michael), all of whom had the immense privilege of being part of Alfred's remarkable life.

Alfred is predeceased by both his parents, Johann and Maria Loy, as well as a nephew, Hubert Loy, Jr.

Alfred Loy will be remembered for his extraordinary devotion both to his craft as a machinist and to those he held dear in his heart. His passing leaves a void that will be felt by all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him. However, his legacy will continue to inspire future generations to embrace the beauty of exploration, dedication, and above all, love.

As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, let us remember with gratitude the joy he brought into our lives, the kindness he showed to all, and the love that radiated from his very being. May Alfred Loy rest in eternal peace, knowing that his legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
