Aleatha Hawkins Patterson Smith, 75, of 1759 Maw Bridge Road and wife of Bryan L. Smith, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at her home.

Born in Central, she was a daughter of the late Harold Gaines and Eva Irene Hawkins. She was a retired employee with Ohio Geer of Liberty and was a member of Six Mile Baptist Church.

Surviving are one son, James Patterson (Jane) of Lyman, SC; two step-daughters, Diane Singleton (Steve) of Central and Jackie Smith of Baytown, TX; two brothers, Bennie Joe Hawkins (Norma) of Knoxville, TN and John Hawkins (Pat) of Central; two sisters, Barbara Leroy (Julian) and Rachel Hawkins all of Liberty; grandchildren, Sara Patterson, Michael Schmidt, Aaron Geller, Tori Bell and Kiley Krizak; and great-grandchildren Regan Bell and Tahlia Bell.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her first husband, Hugh J. Patterson.

Funeral services will be 2:30 PM, Saturday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Longenecker officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2:15 Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.

The family is at the home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Six Mile Baptist Church Building Fund, 150 N. Main Street, Six Mile, SC 29682.
