Aleene Louise Green Parham, 96, died Monday, March 30, 2009, at Cottington Hospice House.
Born in New Castle, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Julia Elliott Green. Mrs. Parham was a homemaker and helped her husband in business at Parham Steel Service in Greenville for many years. Mrs. Parham was a member of Earls Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the WMU and the J.O.Y club. She was married to the late Grover Cleveland Parham.
Mrs. Parham was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara June Polk and 2 brothers, Stafford Freemont Green and Forrest "Toby" Green
Survivors inlcude: a daughter, Janet Maureen Rollins and her husband Randy of Fairplay; a son, David Elliott Parham and his wife Nancy of Fairplay; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm, Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Earls Grove Bapist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Earls Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 398 Cedar Lane Rd., Westminster, SC 29693 or Hospice of the Foothills, 390 Keowee School Road., Seneca, SC, 29672.
