Mr. Alexander Campbell "Alex" Moorhead, Jr., 55, passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at his home.

Born in Greenville, Mr. Moorhead was a son of Jean Poole Ross and the late Alexander Campbell Moorhead, Sr. He was a self-employed contractor and a Presbyterian. Mr. Moorhead served in the National Guard.

Surviving, in addition to his mother of Houston, Texas are his brother, Lewis Brinson Moorhead of Holzgerlingen, Germany; his sister, Mary St. Amand Moorhead, of Houston, Texas; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his grandparents, including his beloved grandmother, Rosalie Poole Brice.

Graveside memorial services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens with the Reverend Lee Dudley officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Road, Greenville, SC 29607.

Family members are at their respective homes.
