Alfred Edlow Proffitt, 79, husband of the late Nancy Thomas Proffitt, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Fluvanna County, Virginia, to the late Alfred Conrad and Etta Shifflett Proffit, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. After being honorably discharged, Alfred worked mainly as an electrician and a plumber, but could be referred to as a "jack of all trades."
He is survived by a son, Robert Proffitt (Juanita) of Pickens; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family is at the residence.
