Alice Turner Gillespie, 85, formerly of Robinall Drive, wife of the late Kenneth Gillespie, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Heritage Health Care.
Born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late J.B. and Susan Holmes Turner, Mrs. Gillespie was a homemaker and attended Flat Rock Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Roy Gillespie (Sandy) of Liberty and Charles Gillespie (Dianne) of Easley; a son-in-law, Mike Turner of Greenville; three grandchildren, Kim Chastain (Toney), Lindsay Fields (Eric) and Jason Gillespie (Natalie); and four great-grandchildren, Cody, Emily, Ric and Charlie. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gillespie was predeceased by a daughter, Joyce Turner and by six brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Monday at Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Flat Rock Baptist Church, 115 Slab Bridge Road, Liberty, SC 29657.
Family members are at their respective homes.
