Alice Margaret Lolas

March 4, 1943 — July 27, 2025

Powdersville, South Carolina

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Alice Margaret Lolas, who left us peacefully on July 27, 2025, at 82 years of age.

Born on March 4, 1943 in New York, New York, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Stock and Ruth Lush Stock. She married the love of her life, Paul Lolas (deceased) at age 19 and together they worked to build a life for their family, Alice as a legal assistant mostly at 30 Rockefeller Center. She was a voracious reader and lived her life with a passion for knowledge. She loved cooking, family gatherings, and being surrounded by her grandchildren. She saw the beauty in everything around her and shared her wisdom with those she loved every day. She accepted everyone exactly as they were and was grateful for the special contribution everyone made to her life. Her kindness and intelligence made a lasting impression on those around her.

Alice is survived by her daughters Phyllis Lolas and son-in-law Andrew, and Debra DeSena and son-in-law Anthony, grandchildren Luke, John, Dylan and his wife Karli, Marc and Daphne, brother Daniel, niece Elise Ann, nephews Glen and Jackson, as well as many cousins and dear friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Dean Lolas, and her sister, Arlene Stock.

She will be deeply missed but forever loved and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

We wish to extend our deepest gratitude to those who have offered their support during this difficult time.

Funeral services will be private, and Alice will be laid to rest alongside her husband at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, New Jersey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society https://donate.cancer.org/ or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.

We are grateful for the time shared with Alice and will cherish her memory forever. May she rest in peace.
