Mrs. Allene McJunkin Garrett, 89, wife of the late Floyd Obie Garrett, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Regency Hospital, Greenville.
Born on May 17, 1921 in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late, Ruben Leonard McJunkin and the late Molly Leona Howell McJunkin. Mrs. Garrett was a retired machine operator with Woodside Mill, and a member of Nine Forks Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Obie Garrett of Easley; daughter, Sue Ellenburg of Easley; sisters, Gladys Gillespie and Clara Crowe; brothers, Lloyd McJunkin and Thomas McJunkin; and grandson Ritchie Ellenburg. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Garrett was predeceased by a sister, Lucille McJunkin and by a brother, Lewis McJunkin.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, November 28, 2010 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Thomas McJunkin officiating. Burial will follow in Nine Forks Baptist Church Cemetery.
