Alva B. Gibson

May 24, 1935 — February 26, 2018

Alva Billy D. Gibson, 82, husband of the late Mary Madgeline Green Gibson, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at his home.

Born in Decatur, AL, he was the son of the late O.D. and Addie Ellis Gibson. Mr. Gibson served our country in the US Air Force. He retired from Burns and McDonald Engineering and was a member of Siloam Baptist Church.

Surviving are his stepson, John Mayfield and his wife Vickie; a daughter-in-law, Chana Gibson; a sister, Barbara Martin; five grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son Billy Gibson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:30pm in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:00pm - 2:15pm at the funeral home.
