Alvin Bono

Alvin Jerrold Bono, 87, of 410 Wexford Way, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Granite City, IL, a son of the late Ben C. Bono, Sr., and the late Audrey O'Sullivan Bono, Mr. Bono retired as a supervisor with Elmeren-Union Electric after over forty years of service and was a member of Easley First United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the US Marines, and a member of the Easley VFW and the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Wilma Kathleen Robinson Bono of the home; a granddaughter, Frances Kathleen Parrish of Easley, and a son-in-law, Jack Smith Parrish, Jr., of Easley. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bono was predeceased by a daughter, Amy Parrish.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Jim Correll and Rev. Ron Bentley officiating.
Visitation will be immediately following the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Scleroderma Foundation, 1027 South Pendleton Street, Easley, SC 29642.
