Alvin Ala Spearman, Jr., 75, of 163 Love and Care Road, died Wednesday October 15, 2008 at Harvey's Nursing Home.
Mr. Spearman was born in Pickens County, SC, a son of the late Alvin Ala "Bunch" Spearman, Sr. and Beulah Florence Miller Spearman. He was a self-employed paint contractor and a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. He was a life member of the American Legion in Norris, SC, where he was a past commander and former financial officer. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving Are his son, Alvin Ala Spearman, III (Patricia), of Easley ; a sister, Mary "Bobbie" Duckworth (J.A. Duckworth, III), of Greenwood and five grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Spearman ; four brothers and three sisters.
