Amanda "Amy" Lynn Parnell, 52, of Easley, SC, a spirited force of nature, left this world on June 14, 2025. Born on June 5, 1973, Amy truly lived life in full swing, wielding her infectious personality —always sweet, often sassy, but always with that unmistakable touch of what made her unique.
Amy’s career path was as colorful as her vibrant spirit. She spent much of her time behind the bar, mixing cocktails and sharing laughter wherever she went. But her journey didn’t stop there; Amy eventually found herself shining as a customer sales rep in a loan office, where fate played its hand. It was there she met the love of her life, Andy Parnell. With Andy as a contender in a sweepstakes, she rigged the game just so she could see him one more time. Little did he know that this grill win would turn into a lifetime of memories with Amy at his side. They may have had just two years together, but honey, those years were packed with Friday night dinners, days spent on their pontoon boat, vacations to the beach, and countless adventures in the majestic mountains of Gatlinburg.
Despite standing petite in stature, Amy was a powerhouse of personality. If you happened to find her early in the morning, you would be met with a quick “Don’t talk to me before my coffee, my cigarette, and my BC powder!” She was a woman who knew what she wanted. She was the life of every gathering; she had an uncanny ability to lift spirits and bring smiles to faces, even on the toughest days. Her laughter was contagious, as was her fierce independence; her yard was her pride and joy, and don't you dare question her skills with a lawnmower!
Perhaps the title she cherished most was that of a mother. Amy was a fierce and devoted momma to her beloved Savannah. In her own words, “I know she is loved by many, but she will never be loved like I love her.” With a heart as vast as the southern sky, Amy faced life’s challenges head-on, unwavering and unwaveringly devoted to ensuring Savannah felt that love above all else. She graciously opened her heart and home to all who needed it, fostering a family that went beyond blood ties, wrapping them all tightly in her loving embrace.
Amy is survived by her husband James “Andy” Parnell; her daughters, Savannah Leigh Parks (Hunter Reardon) and Melanie Miles; her grandchildren, Malaki Miles, Anthony Reardon, Blaine Odom, Bentley Miles, and Della Miles; her great-grandchild, Mason Odom; her siblings, Joey Simms (Brittany), Vickie Miles, and Emily Lotshaw (Brian); her Father- In Law and Mother-In Law, Roy and Helen Parnell; her nieces, Marissa Smith (Joe), Nikki Walker (Wyatt), Brittany McClain (Austin); Great Nieces and Nephews, Sawyer Smith, Ryleigh Smith, Ainsley McClain, Aubrey Williams, Chloe Puckett, Nicole Decker; and her beloved dog Blue Diesel.
She is predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Eva Everly, and her brother, Tony Gault.
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
As we remember this remarkable woman, we celebrate her life, not just for her laughter and love, but for the countless hearts she touched.
