Amos Neal Hunnicutt, 83, of 806 Crouch Drive and husband of Pauline Hardin Hunnicutt, died Monday, September 22, 2008 at his residence.

Born in Oconee County, as son of the late James P. and Sella Hunnicutt Hunnicutt, he was a retired supervisor with LaFrance Industries, a US Army veteran of WWII, a Purple Heart recepient, and a member of LaFrance First Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer, a member of Boscobel and a former coach with the LaFrance and Pendleton recreation programs.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Michael D. Hunnicutt of Central; a brother, Hoyt Hunnicutt of Sioux Falls, SD; and a sister, Fleta Sanders of Walhalla.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, Calvin, Clayton, Melvin and James Hunnicutt; and two sisters, Floree Keaton and Bessie Lee Mulkey.

Graveside services will be 2:30, Wednesday, at Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM, Wednesday, at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, prior to the service.

The family is at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
