Amy Nicole Drawdy

September 18, 1980 — July 21, 2020

Amy Nicole Drawdy, 39, of Greer, SC, went home to be with the Lord on July 21, 2020.
Born in Fort Myers, FL, she was the daughter of the late Dana Williams Drawdy. After graduating high school in Columbia, AL, she moved to the Upstate of South Carolina, where she received her bachelor's degree in Parks, Recreation, Tourism Management at Clemson University in 2003 and subsequently, pursued additional studies at Clemson in Secondary Education-Spanish.
Amy had a love for teaching and taught Spanish in Pickens, Spartanburg and Greenville County high schools. She had a gift for celebrating and encouraging her students. She would beam when sharing stories about the class trips that she would lead abroad that helped to deepen her students and her own understanding of the language she loved.
While at Clemson, Amy was a devoted member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Her enthusiasm for Clemson was apparent to anyone who met her and she was quick to share her love of sunsets that perfectly blended hues of orange and purple. She also enjoyed working in the Clemson football office and was a beloved member of the Tiger PAWS football student program. Her love for Clemson continued throughout her life as she seldom missed a home football game cheering on her Tigers. Whether among her students, sorority family, longtime friends, family or strangers, Amy was well known for her genuine kindness and her radiant smile.
