Mr. A.P. (Bud) Fant, III

Mr. Andrew Preston (Bud) Fant, III, age 78, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026.
Born in Greenville, Mr. Fant was the son of the late Andrew Preston Fant, Jr. and the late Jean Johnstone Fant. A 1966 graduate of Easley High School, Bud received a B.A. in Political Science from Gardner- Webb University in 1971. He retired after 45 years of banking from Bank of Travelers Rest after starting with American Federal Bank.
A past member of the Kiwanis Club in Mauldin, Mr. Fant was also an advisory board member of Greenville Tech as well as the Home Builders Association. In addition, Bud was a member of the Society of Appraisers. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Greenville, and he served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1968-1974.
Surviving is his wife, Claudia Houser Fant, of the home; one son, Jonathan Davis Fant (Hannah), of Martin, Tennessee; one daughter, Alyson Leigh Fant Tuck (James), of Raleigh, N.C.; and four grandchildren, Marshall Davis Fant, Jackson Davis Fant, James Andrew Tuck, and Catherine Margaret Tuck.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, February 19, 2026, at First Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends in the church parlor from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM prior to the service. A private family committal service will follow in Westview Cemetery in Easley.
