Easley

Angela Marie Holbert, 50, of Easley, SC, a beacon of warmth and joy in the lives of those who had the privilege to know her, departed from this world on May 3, 2025. Born on March 17, 1975, Angela was a strong and independent woman whose infectious spirit and beautiful smile could light up any room. Her striking blue eyes sparkled with kindness, reflecting her deep love for her family, friends, and all living creatures.

Angela was known for her enthusiasm, particularly during the holiday season. Christmas, for her, was not just a day, but an entire season saturated with holiday magic and love. She began decorating early in October, covering her home in vibrant colors and festive cheer. On Christmas Eve, the anticipation of unwrapping gifts hung in the air, as she would put her heart into wrapping presents throughout the night. Together, her family would sit for 24 hours watching “A Christmas Story,” a beloved tradition that now passes to future generations, a testament to her spirit and the joy she found in connection and celebration.

Angela’s love for animals spoke volumes about her nurturing soul. Anything with fur brought her pure happiness, marking her as a friend to all creatures. The beach was another sanctuary for her; it was here, with her toes in the sand and the tunes of Jimmy Buffett serenading her, where she found peace and joy.

Above all, Angela’s greatest pride lay in her daughters. They were not just her children but her best friends and sidekicks. The bond they shared was woven with love, laughter, and endless adventures. Family time was sacred to Angela, representing her ultimate fulfillment in life—nothing mattered more to her than the moments spent with those she adored.

With a vast heart that could envelop anyone she met, Angela made friends effortlessly, forging connections that will be remembered in the hearts of many. Her absence leaves a void that will echo through the lives of those fortunate enough to experience her love. Angela’s spirit will forever resonate in the legacy she leaves behind—a vivid tapestry of warmth, laughter, and cherished traditions that will continue to inspire joy in all those who loved her.

Angela is survived by her daughters, Isabella Ilcheson and Addison Halbert, her parents, Richard Marino (Debbie) and Vicki Hooper, her sisters Lori Rozuk (Dave) and Stephanie Lott (Lamar), her niece Savannah Rozuk, as well as her former husband and great friends Chris Ilcheson and his wife Carmen.

She is predeceased by her brother Matthew Gillingham.
