Angelika Maria Hunter, 72, of Easley, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023.
Born on May 12, 1951, in the vibrant city of Berlin, Germany, daughter of the late Franz and Maria Nagel Pechtold. Angelika was a loving and devoted woman whose life revolved around her family and making a difference in the lives of others. She will be remembered for her generous nature, unwavering faith, and indomitable spirit.
Angelika's greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren, and she treasured her title as Oma. She cherished every moment she had with them and took pleasure in spoiling them whenever she had the chance. One of their favorite activities together was going to IHOP, where they would indulge in delicious pancakes and create heartwarming memories that will be treasured forever. Family was at the core of Angelika's existence. Her love extended beyond immediate relatives as she dedicated herself to caring for the elderly. Compassionate and empathetic, she made sure that those who needed support received it with kindness and understanding. Angelika's nurturing nature knew no bounds, and her soothing presence provided comfort to those around her. Faith played a central role in Angelika's life; it served as a guiding light during both good times and challenging moments. Her strong belief allowed her to navigate life's twists and turns, always holding onto hope and embracing each day with gratitude. Angelika had an unwavering trust that carried her through life's adversities, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Besides her devotion to family and faith, Angelika indulged in simple pleasures that brought immense joy to her days. She had an insatiable love for pizza and savored each cheesy bite with delight. To accompany these mouthwatering slices of heaven, Angelika delighted in sipping coffee topped with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Known for having a colossal heart filled with kindness and compassion, Angelika was a true "giver." She selflessly put the needs of others before her own and strived to make a positive impact in their lives. Her acts of generosity forged countless friendships and touched the hearts of many. Angelika's legacy as a survivor and fighter will live on through the lives she has touched, forever inspiring others to persevere in the face of adversity.
She is survived by a daughter, Daniela Lynn (Tim); and two grandchildren, Zachary Lynn (Adriane), and Daniel Lynn; and a great-grandson, George Lynn.
A going home celebration will be held on Friday August 25, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to The Dream Center, PO Box 203, Easley, SC 29641 to help others who are in similar situations to what Angelika was in earlier in her life.
