Anita Noblitt, 90, of 1007 Powdersville Road, died Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Oakmont East Nursing Center.

Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late James Greer and Marie Dunwoody Noblitt. She was retired from Woodside Mill in 1982. She was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church where she was active for many years as a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Lucille Searcy Circle, the Communion Committee and the Van Committee.

Surviving are a brother, Reverend Don Noblitt and his wife Ruth, of Kannapolis, NC; great nieces and their husbands, Cindy and Kendall Pearson and Sherry and Bo Anthony, all of Easley; great,great nieces and nephew, Houston Pearson, Tabitha Anthony and Hannah Anthony, all of Easley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed Noblitt, Lewis Noblitt, Raymond Noblitt; and a sister, Eloise Noblitt Waldrop.

Funeral services will be 4:00 pm Sunday at St. Andrew United Methodist Church with Reverend Julian Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.

The Ladies Bible Class of St. Andrew United Methodist Church will serve as escort of honor for the funeral service.

The family is at the home and will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm, prior to the service, at the church.
