Scarlett Ann Newman Hinton, 68, of 108 Hinton Road, died Wednesday July 1, 2009 at McCall Hospice House.
Mrs. Hinton was born in Greenville, a daughter of the late Roy Earl and Hester Mae Cox Newman. She earned an Associates Degree from Greenville Tech and was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Eugene "Gene" B. Hinton, of the home ; daughters, Susan Glacken, of Charleston and Gayle Autry and her husband, Kevin, of Easley ; sisters, Jo Sipes, of Greenville and Rosemary Gallo, of Jacksonville, Florida ; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Newman.
Funeral Services will be 7:00 pm Friday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, with the Reverend Dr. Bobby Caldwell officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
