ANN EVATT McCULLOUGH - Pendleton, SC

Ann Evatt McCullough, 87, of 434 Tarrant Street, widow of R.J. McCullough, died peacefully Monday, January 9, 2006, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Rachel & Carl Stancil, with whom she had made her home for the last year and a half.

Mrs. McCullough was born September 16, 1918, to Marvin and Mary Bradley Evatt of Pickens County. She retired from Cannon Mills, was a member of Cannon Memorial Baptist Church, and the T.E.L. Sunday school class.

She is survived by a daughter, Rachel M. Stancil and husband, Carl, of Pendleton, SC; a son, Jim "Bud" McCullough and wife, Kay, of Spartanburg, SC; a step-daughter, Louise Taylor and husband, Lindon, of Six Mile, SC; a grandson, Allen McCullough and wife, Kelly, of Saluda, NC; a granddaughter, Ashley McCullough of Johns Island, SC; a step-grandson, David Taylor and wife, Rhonda, of Six Mile, SC; a great granddaughter, Georgia McCullough of Saluda, NC; a step-great grandson, Aaron Taylor of Six Mile, SC; and a special nephew, Jerry Gibson and wife, Shelia, of Easley, SC.

Mrs. McCullough was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, two sisters, and a nephew, Donald C. Griffith, who was raised in the home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central, SC. Reverend Jack Hester and Reverend James Shealy will be officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Clemson, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.


The family would like to express their gratitude to special friends, Ms. Wilma Kelley, and Ms. Betty Sander for their weekly visits and unlimited support. Also, a special thank you to Hospice Staff of the Upstate and Paulette Ray and Tammy Remillard of Interim Health Care. God Bless all of you.
