Ann Marie Roy Pompi, 70, died Sunday, January 7, 2018 at her home in Six Mile, SC.
Born in North Adams, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Edna Neal Roy. Ann was an artist, who in her later years enjoyed painting, sketching, and decorating her home in Six Mile. She loved life and was a source of comfort and support to all who knew her. She was passionate about politics, a wearer of outrageous hats, and she loved to laugh. Ann loved her family and was always happiest when they were all together. She became a grandmother for the first time ten years ago, and her grandsons, granddaughter, and great-grandchildren were lights of her life and brought her so much joy, as she did them.
Surviving are her son, Paul Pompi (Julianna) of Silver Spring, MD; daughters, Nikole Smith (David) of LaPlata, MD, and Jennifer Pompi (Nelson Gibson) of Riverdale Park, MD; brothers, Charles Roy (Sharon) of Anderson, SC and Alfred Roy (Terry) of West Springfield, MA; grandchildren, Oscar and Miles Gibson, Cameron and Archibald Pompi, and Sabrina Wilke; great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Mallory, and Brock Sultan; and the love of her life, Lynn Wilke. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Roy.
A Celebration of Ann's Life will be 10 AM, Thursday, January 11, 2018 in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
