Anthony "Tony" Coogler

January 9, 1957 — June 19, 2020

Anthony "Tony" Coogler, 63, of Clemson, South Carolina departed this life unexpectedly on June 19, 2020.

Tony was born on January 9, 1957 to the late Elaine "Joann" and William W. Coogler, Jr in Charleston, West Virginia.

In the Spring of 1968 his family moved to Stamford, Connecticut, where he graduated from Rippowam High School in 1975. He attended Alderson Broadus University in Philippi, West Virginia, graduating with a degree in Recreational Management. He then moved to Clemson, South Carolina, where he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clemson. Tony worked at Clemson University as a landscaper for more than 35 years.

Tony is survived by two brothers, William W. Coogler, III (Madeleine) and Richard Coogler (Karen). He was predeceased by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on the anniversary of Tony's birth at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Road, Central, South Carolina.

To honor Tony's love for Clemson, we request that those attending the service please wear casual Clemson attire if at all possible.
