Anthony Todd Crowe M.D., 52, beloved husband, father, and physician, went to be with his Lord at 7:00 PM, May 20, 2017 at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC.
Todd was born on April 8, 1965 at Hillcrest Hospital in Simpsonville, SC to the late Tommy Russell Crowe and Diane Armstrong Crowe. He grew up in Mauldin and attended Mauldin High School. He was a member of The College of Charleston class of 1986 and the Medical University of South Carolina Class of 1990. He completed his residency in anesthesia at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC where he met his future wife, Johnna Ferguson. Todd and Johnna were married on August 1,1992 in Greenwood, SC and soon after, moved to Seneca where they built their life and raised their family. Dr. Crowe practiced anesthesia at Oconee Memorial Hospital for 23 years, serving in leadership positions including terms as Chief of Staff. He also did medical mission work with Volunteers in Medical Missions and Doctors Without Borders. He also served on the South Carolina State Board of Medical Examiners and the Board of Directors for Our Daily Rest. Todd was an active member of CrossPoint Church in Clemson. He loved traveling with his family, performing magic, spending Saturdays in Death Valley watching the Clemson Tigers play, and cheering on his three children in everything they did.
He is survived by his wife of the home, his mother, one brother Tommy Russell Crowe II and wife Kimberly of Simpsonville, one son, Tyler Graham Crowe, and daughters Anna Foster and Caroline Diane Crowe, all of the home; sisters-in-law, Susan Ferguson and Robin Ferguson Finkenstadt, and husband George all of Greenwood; brother-in-law, Thomas Ferguson, Jr. and wife, Vickie of Gilbert; neices, Anna Reese Crowe, Carly Beth Finkenstadt, Susan Parker Finkenstadt; nephews, Eli Crowe and Thomas Hallman Ferguson.
The family will receive friends at CrossPoint Church in Clemson on Wednesday, May 24 from 6 PM until 8 PM.
A service in celebration of Todd's life will be held at CrossPoint Church in Clemson on Thursday, May 25 at 2 PM.
A private burial service will follow.
