Anthony E. Kobukowski

Anthony Edward "Kubby" Kobukowski, 87, formerly of Quinby, SC, husband of the late Leila Elizabeth Epps Kobukowski, died Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Rosemond Living Center, under the care of Hospice Care of South Carolina.
Born in Wilkes-Barre-Scranton, PA, he was a son of the late Ludwig and Victoria Kobukowski. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII, retired as an accountant, was a Third Degree Mason and member of the Amity Lodge in Florence. Mr. Kobukowski was a member of Central UMC in Florence, and a Charter Life Member of the Florence Evening Lion's Club where he served as longtime treasurer, and received the Melvin Jones Award.
Surviving are a son, Rev. Tony Kobukowski and his wife, Libby, of Easley; a brother, Henry L. Petrosky; a sister, Clara P. Lysiak, both of Wilkes-Barre, PA; and two grandchildren, Ashlea E. Kobukowski and Matthew E. Kobukowski. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Kobukowski was predeceased by a son, Ollie Frank Kobukowski; two brothers, Frank and Stanley Kobukowski; and a sister, Frances Gawelko.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road with Rev. Tony Kobukowski and Rev. Bob Laidlaw officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 3:00 until 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
Entombment with Military Honors will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, in the mausoleum of Mt. Hope Cemetery in Florence. The family will receive friends prior to the service in Florence from 3:00 until 4:00 PM Wednesday in the mausoleum.
