Antoinette Lucy Denaro Ciufo entered into eternal peace joining her husband, Philip, on September 24, 2013 in Central, SC.
Antoinette, born in Rochester, NY, was the first generation daughter of the late Italian immigrants, Maria (Gentile) and John Denaro. She overcame poverty and language barriers to successfully finish high school, marry, and raise six children. Education was important to her so, in her mid 40's Ann went to college and entered nursing school to become a nurse practitioner something she had always wanted to accomplish.
She is survived by her six children: Philip (Nola), Kathy (Carl) Broman, Jim (Lynne), Tom (Laurie), Christine (Doug) Rybolt, and especially Gerald, her gift from God. Ann is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Ann, you will be sorely missed by your family and those that knew and loved you. You taught us well and were always there for us. God bless you always and forever.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Friday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC with entombment to follow in the mausoleum at Memory Gardens, Clemson.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 AM Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
