Archie Pope Hammond, Jr. 78, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Hammond was born in Elberton, GA, a son of the late Archie Pope Hammond, Sr. and Lois Grimes Hammond, and husband of the late Margaret (Mickey) White Hammond.
He was retired from American Security, based at Lockheed Martin, and was a member of Dunean Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Mark Hammond of Greenville, Harold Hammond and his wife, Kerrie, of Easley, and Chris Hammond and his wife, Kandi, of Piedmont; nine grandchildren, Timothy Mark Hammond, Jr., Joseph Steven Hammond, Michael Lee Hammond, Catherine Ada Williams, Harold Thomas Hammond, Jr., Melissa Jeannie Hammond, Lauren Kindley Black, Tyler Joshua Hammond, Raegan Elise Kindley; six great-grandchildren Jack, Aedan, and Trip Hammond, Cody and Matthew Williams, and Liem Seveningson; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Larry and Flora Jane White of Central.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Maurice E. Hammond.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 9,2013 at 2:00 P. M. in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, with burial to follow in Memory Gardens, Clemson.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M. on Friday, at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of Chris and Kandi Hammond, 1052 Blythwood Dr., Piedmont, SC 29673.
