Arthur "Art" Wayne Carlstrom, 76, of Easley and husband of Beverly S. Yaratch Carlstrom, passed away Thursday December 12, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Carlstrom was born in Russell, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Manley Emory and Olga Marie Anderson Carlstrom. He was a foreman for 17 years at Jamestown Perforators Company and later retired after 17 years of service from Reddy Ice Company in Tampa, Florida. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving from 1955 until 1959 and a member of New Beginnings Church in Pickens, SC.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his son, Scott Arthur Carlstrom (Josette), of Brandon, Florida; two daughters, Pamela M. Mullins (Marshall), of Conroe, Texas and Susan L. Ankers (Michael), of Liberty, SC; grandchildren, Derek and Danielle Doinoff, of Conroe, Texas, Brandon Freeman, of Pickens, SC, Ryan Freeman, of Greenville, SC and Jadyn Ankers, of Liberty, SC; a great-grandchild, Brantley Michael Freeman, of Pickens, SC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert, Richard "Bud", Herbert and Manley Carlstrom; sisters, Marie Trembley, Esther Stoddard, Irene Williams, Ruby Walker and Gertrude Schott.
Funeral services with military honors will be 2:00 pm Monday December 16, 2013 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Inurnment will be at a later date in M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until 1:45 pm Monday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 900 East Main Street, Suite E, Easley, SC 29640.
