Arthur Fant

Arthur Fant, 85, of 1312 Three and Twenty Road, died Saturday, May 27, 2006, at Blue Ridge Nursing Center.
Born in Anderson County, Mr. Fant was a son of the late Jesse and Vergie Burdette Fant. He retired from Palmetto Loom Reed Company and attended Three and Twenty Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.
Surviving are one son, Jerry Fant of Pickens; four daughters, Margaret Dunn and Geraldine Cuddy, both of Easley, Gladys Ramey of Marietta and Tammy Childress of Greenville; a brother, Raymond Fant of Pickens; four sisters, Maggie Riddle of Williamston, Ollie Newton, Ethel Hayes and Martha Fant, all of Pickens; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Fant was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Kathryn Brooks Fant and by a son, Gary Fant.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with the Reverends Roy Goodson and Glenn Shepard officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
