Arthur K. "Papa" Garner, 80, of 101 Wallace Drive, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Anderson, a son of the late Andrew and Myrtle Lou Anthony Garner, Arthur was a graduate of Boys High School in Anderson and retired from the maintenance department of Robinson Funeral Home. He was a member of Dacusville Church of God of Prophecy.
Surviving are two daughters, Tina Louise Garner and Rebecca Ann Hayes; a brother, Robert Garner; two sisters, Sarah Rice and Myrtle Ruth Mosley; granddaughters, Jennifer Leigh Contreras, Natosha Lynn Maximo, Kendra Denise Negrete, Brandy Nechole Hayes and Jessica Noel Hayes; great-grandchildren, Jacobe Melvin Contreras, Kayla Christina Contreras, Brayden Contreras, Eden Martin Negrete, Yarely Anaid Negrete, Andres Maximo, Isaiah Maximo, Izlyn Lilyana Contreras, Exander Mael Negrete, Yulizza Aylen Maximo, Dylan Axel Maximo; and all his adopted grandchildren young and old. In addition to his parents, Arthur was predeceased by a brother, Tommy Garner.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at Grace Christian Fellowship in Dacusville. Burial will follow in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the residence.
