ARTHUR L. REEVES, SR. - Clemson

Arthur Lawrence "Nervine Clemson Boy" Reeves, Sr., 85, widower of Rena Smith Reeves, died Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at the Richard Campbell Nursing Center. He was a native of Oconee County and a son of the late James Arthur and Mamie Pierce Reeves. He served in the US Navy and was a veteran of WWII. He was retired from the J.P. Stevens Clemson Plant and was a member of the East Clemson Baptist Church.

He is survived by sons, Arthur Lawrence Reeves, Jr., of Seneca and Ed "Bill" Reeves and wife Sue of Central; daughter, Brenda R. Mulligan and husband Alvin of Central; sister, Sue Helen Lee of Walhalla; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Willie Reeves; and a sister, Irene Chastain.

Funeral services will be Friday at 3pm in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with interment to follow at Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of a daughter, Brenda Mulligan, 310 Norris Highway, Norris, SC.
