Arthur Wade Roper

Arthur Wade Roper, 83, of Central, husband of the late Edna Mae Willis Roper, passed away August 9, 2022.

Born in Central, he was the son of the late Paul and Leola Burkett Roper.  Mr. Roper retired after a long career as a truck driver.  He enjoyed fishing and supporting his sons racing.

He is survived by his sons, Tim Roper (Michelle) of Central, Andy Roper (Shirley) of La France, and Robert Roper (Tracie) of La France; daughter, Kerri Edwards (Jeff) of Summerville, GA; sister, Pauline Abercrombie; grandchildren, Drew Roper (Brittany), Kelsey Craig, Chris Craig, Liz Craig, David Smith (Suzy); great-grandchildren, Blake, Zola, and Hannah.

Arthur was predeceased by his wife, parents, grandson, Josh Roper, brothers, Romaine Roper and Gary Roper, and sisters, Kathy Roper, Nell Miller, and Audrey Crooks.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
