Arthur W. "Papa" Stephens, 82, of 1722 Ireland Road, husband of the late Eva Cassell Stephens, died Friday, March 16, 2007, at his home.

Born in Pickens County, the son of the late Noah and Eunice Taylor Stephens, Mr. Stephens retired from J.P. Stevens Company in Greenville and was a member of Cedar Rock Baptist Church. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen Teresa Collins of Pickens; a sister, Mary Belle Finley of Greenville; and two granddaughters, Kalena Collins and Ciera Collins. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Stephens was predeceased by brothers, Bill Stephens, Ray "Wink" Stephens an infant brother, Jack Stephens and by a beloved gandson, Chip Arthur Collins.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road, Easley, with Rev. Bobby Goodwin and Rev. Bobby Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Veterans Garden of Honor of Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
