Arthur Walker "Oss" Watson, Jr., 81, of Winston-Salem, NC and widower of Ruth Stephens Watson, died Friday, June 2, 2006 in Wake Forest Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC.
Mr. Watson was raised in Pickens County, a son of the late Arthur "Oss" W. and Jemimia Gentry Watson. He graduated with a B.S. degree from Clemson University and was a retired engineer with AT & T He was a Navy veteran of WWII and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are; a daughter, Amy Watson Ruth of Spartanburg; a granddaughter, Ariel Murtha of Concord, NC; his special friend/nurse, Erin Crews of Winston-Salem, NC. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Watson was predeceased by 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM, Tuesday, at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown followed by a committal service at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cemetery Fund of Fairview United Methodist Church, 200 East Church Road, Easley, SC 29640.
