Artie Fox Wood, 88, of 110 Oates Avenue, died Thursday, July 12, 2007, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Easley, Mrs. Wood was a daughter of the late Melvin Hamilton and Ema Lissie Galloway Fox. She retired from Saco Lowell, and most recently, was an alterationist at Robinson Co. in Easley. Mrs. Wood was also a cosmetologist and a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Ruth A. LaBoone and her husband, Gary, of Easley and Rachel W. Patterson, of North Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Sarah Dunn of Easley and Verla Jean Smith of Fountain Inn, S.C.; three granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wood was predeceased by her husband, James Edward Wood; two brothers; and five sisters.
Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Rodney Graham officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.
The family is at the home of a daughter, Ruth LaBoone, 108 Pine Forest Drive, Easley, SC 29642.
Memorials may be made to Brushy Creek Baptist Church, 110 Clay Street, Easley, S.C. 29642.
