Ary Gilstrap Morgan, 85, of Pickens, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Rosemond Living Center.

She was born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late James Edward and Leila Gentry Gilstrap. Mrs. Morgan had a two year teaching degree from Central Wesleyan and taught school for five years. She was a homemaker and a member of Lawrence Chapel UMC.

Surviving are her husband, Stanley Alton Morgan, of the home; a daughter Susan (Leon) Morgan of Arizona, two sons Stanley (Sandra) Morgan of Pickens, and Steven (Gloria) Morgan of Pickens; granddaughter, Lakay (David) Blakely; grandson Matt (Johanna) Morgan; four great-grandchildren, Kayla, Jaymee, Colby and Austin.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morgan was predeceased by two sisters, Lois and Addie Gilstrap; five brothers, Tom, Lloyd, Glenn, Lewis and Wyatt Gilstrap.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday at Lawrence Chapel UMC with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Escort of Honor will be the staff of Rosemond Living Center, staff of Hallmark Hospice and the Billy Griffin Sunday School Class.

Visitation will follow after service in the church fellowship hall.
