Ateria Lino Polanco of Easley, SC, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Born in Gasper Hernandez in the Dominican Republic to Mereciana Polanco and the late Valentin Lino. Ateria was a selfless woman who always took care of others before herself. Her life revolved around her family. Her time with her husband of 27 years, Juan Mejia, was something she cherished. She enjoyed cooking, especially lasagna. She always made sure everyone was fed, and the first thing you would hear after walking in the door was always, “Did you eat yet”? Being a wonderful “grandma” and “abuela,” she loved to shop and spoil her children and grandchildren. Her home was the place where all the family liked to gather and feel at home. Her loss will be felt greatly.
In addition to her father, she is predeceased by a brother, Tadeo Polanco.
Ateria is survived by her significant other of twenty-seven years, Juan Mejia; daughters, Glendalee Mejia Lino (Isaac Bautista) and Ydalee Mejia Lino; sons, Danny W. Roberts (Catherine Paz), Reynaldo Roberts, and Jeffry Roberts; grandchildren, Danell Roberts, Kailee J. Roberts, Adael Roberts and Thiago Roberts; sisters, Bernarda Disla and Estervina Bierd and brothers, Santana Lino and Victor Diaz.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM at Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642.
Ateria’s love, kindness, and ability to touch lives around her will forever be remembered by all those who knew and loved her. Let us celebrate a well-lived life that will endure for years.
