Athalee Joan Davis Dodgens

Athalee Joan Davis Dodgens, 82, wife of Wade Carol Dodgens, of Liberty, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Born in Pickens, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Mamie Porter Davis.

She was a member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church and loved her family deeply and found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her loving husband of 61 years, Mrs. Dodgens is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Owens (Jim) of Liberty; her son, Wade Carlos Dodgens (Angie) of Townville; a sister, Mozelle Davis of Six Mile; four grandchildren, Megan Owens Pilgrim (Brandon), Andy Owens (Emily), Wade Craig Dodgens (Emily), and Abbi Dodgens (Brayden Hughes); and seven great-grandchildren, Aubree, Madison, Carson, Lilly, Ellie, Corbin, and Charlotte.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Thelma Davis Childs and Delores Davis Mauldin; and her brothers, B.F. Davis, Mina Lee Davis, and Jack Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the funeral home.
