Avanell Arnold Archie, 88, formerly of Walnut Hill Drive, wife of the late Robert Archie, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Patewood Health & Rehab.
Born in Pickens County, the daughter of the late Thomas and Essie Trotter Arnold, Mrs. Archie retired from the Elljean Plant of Alice manufacturing Company and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
Surviving are five sons, Rayvon Duncan of Pacolet, James Duncan of Powdersville, Fred Duncan and Kenneth Duncan both of Pickens and Ivy Duncan of Easley; three daughters, Hazel Cope and Carolyn Knight, both of Easley and Nellie Owens of Pickens; a brother, Robert Otis Arnold of Williamston; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Archie was predeceased by a brother, William Thomas Arnold.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
Family members are at their respective homes.
