Avanell Willis Jewell went home to heaven on December 21st, 2020 at age 76.
Avanell was born to Martha and Earl Willis on January 9, 1944 in Liberty, South Carolina. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Miss Avanell was an extremely generous and caring woman, devoted to worship and community at Brushy Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Avanell also loved working in her garden, singing in the Joyful Noise Choir, and holding various volunteer roles at her church. She never met a stranger. Her hugs were second to none. To have known her is to have loved her.
Avanell joins her husband, Larry Jewell, Sr. and her parents, Martha and Earl, in heaven. She is survived by her son, Larry (Louise), and her granddaughter, Colby (Steve).
A service to celebrate Avanell's life will take place Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 12:00pm in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Rd. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will gather with friends Saturday morning from 10:30am-11:45am at the funeral home.
