Rev. Billy Julian Weisner, Sr., 68, of 201 Patrick Ave., husband of Martha Ann Coker Weisner, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 30, 2008.
Born in Piedmont, he was a son of the late Jesse Harold and Adice Smith Weisner.
Rev. Weisner was a graduate of Duke University, with a Masters in Divinity. He was a retired United Methodist Minister serving for over 30 years throughout S.C. He began his ministry at the age of 18. He was preceded in death by brothers, Curtis, Hoyt and Ray, and a sister, Mary Ann Weisner.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, January 2, at Shiloh United Methodist Church, burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Family will be receiving friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include: his wife of the home; sons, B. Julian "Jody" Weisner, Jr., of Greenville and Ashley Coker Weisner and his wife, Angela Taylor Weisner of Easley; brothers, Jerry Weisner of Greenville and Rhett Weisner of Piedmont; sisters, Margaret Ellison of Anderson and his twin sister, Judy Weisner McAbee of Woodruff; and grandchildren, Trevor, Luke and Lily of Easley and Vincent of Greenville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church, 135 Reid Bagwell Road, Piedmont, SC 29673.
