Barbara Grace Murphy Cordell, 85, resident of Oakview Park Assisted Living, passed away March 31, 2021.
Barbara, a resident of Oakview Park Assisted Living, passed away March 31, 2021. Born to a large Irish-Catholic family on November 28, 1935 in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the youngest of 8 children. Barbara enjoyed a long career as a flight attendant enabling her to travel much of the world and later retired from the US Postal Service. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be remembered fondly and greatly missed.
Surviving are her two sons, Patrick Cordell and his wife, Tina of Easley, SC and Sean Cordell and his wife, Lauren of Wellington, FL; and grandchildren, Griffin, Christina, Gabriella, and Mason Cordell.
Beloved sister to the late Patrick Murphy, James V. Murphy, Paul Murphy, John H. Murphy, Thomas L. Murphy, Charles X. Murphy, and Theresa Braxton.
She will be laid to rest lakeside in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum at Robinson Memorial Gardens in Easley, SC.
