Barbara C. DeKreek

Barbara Carolyn DeKreek, wife of the late Velmar DeKreek, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2024.

Born in Dayton, Ohio on August 16, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Carl Koerner and Miriam Ritchie Koerner.

Barbara and Vel enjoyed traveling across the country together. They spent many years living in St. Petersburg, Florida where Barbara would enjoy her time walking on the beach. She also enjoyed sewing women's blouses, and would sell her blouses in local stores. 

Barbara is survived by her sisters Deborah Weinelt (Steve) of Clayton, GA, and Linda Simmons of College Corner, OH; three nieces; and one nephew.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Velmar Fred DeKreek.
